The ROSS Intelligence page provides a visual guide to artificial intelligence (AI) and its application in legal research. The main idea is that AI helps lawyers scale their capabilities and increase the efficiency of legal case search. The ROSS AI Search solves two core problems for lawyers: Too many cases on a topic: helps identify the most relevant for legal arguments. Too few cases: determines if the research direction is correct. The search process is divided into three steps: Understanding the query — using NLP, the system analyzes search phrasing and automatically applies jurisdiction and date filters. Information extraction — ROSS selects relevant fragments from the corpus of legal decisions, leveraging citation graph analysis and proprietary search algorithms. Ranking results — applies machine learning, grammatical structure analysis, word embeddings, and fact matching for optimal case ordering.
